Life at six is like a candy store
If you can’t get what you want, you just lay on the floor
Mama’s trying hard to deal with your tantrum
As you cry for things you don’t even fathom
Life at six is like a candy store,
You go out and play with other kids next door
Play hide and seek or cars and barbie
Or read about Peanuts and Charlie
Life at six is like a candy store,
You don’t have to worry about the future
You get everything for free
Toys, food, and candies, all without a fee

Being 6 never worked for me like that! I got a butt whoopin’ if I ever threw a tantrum at 6, or I was taken out of the store without anything. Never got everything I wanted at 6.

Oh! I’m sorry about that. These are all I can think of, with children who are 6. But you’re right, I never got EVERYTHING that I wanted too. 😀

So cute. In my family the tantrums were basically over at six and the pouting had started. But the poem is excellent.
