Coffee and Tea

If we were having coffee right now, it would be in a park with a blanket and a picnic basket.
Cobbie would be joining us (he loves picnics!), and he would drink his favorite tea mixed with honey, exactly 1 tablespoon of honey and a half teaspoon of sugar. He is really particular with measurements. I guess he copied that from me every time he helps me with cooking.

A letter to the man I’m going to marry

Dear Mr. K,

I still remember the first time you kissed me, it was amazing!
It’s like we’re glued together by some magical energy.
There’s no escape.
No turning back.
I was afraid then, but my heart whispered to me:
Fall in Love. Never return!
And I did.
I never regret the moment that I did.

Time seems to move so fast every time we’re together.
I wish it would slow down.
I want to savor the moment,
feel every second that I am holding your hand,
smelling your scent,
feeling your warmth,
and kissing your lips.

I never thought that after all these years, your kisses can still cause a butterfly riot in my stomach.
I know I’m in love because you’re the reason I am staring into the vast universe sometimes, daydreaming about our future.

All these years
you’ve been there for me.
When I’m in a bad mood.
When I’m pissed off.
When I’m jealous.
When I’m cranky.
When I’m being clumsy, you loved me.
You always loved me.

You loved me even if I turn into a monster at some point,
but instead of running away,
you stayed and calmed that monster in me.

You defended me from people who tried to hurt me.
You prepared food for me to make sure that I won’t skip a meal.
You made sure to check that there’s no boogeyman under our bed before we sleep.
And even as we sleep, you still protect me from all the bad dreams by wrapping your arms around me.

Thank you for accepting me as I am.
You always make me feel that if I’m happy, you’re happy too.

Thank you for making me feel that I am the most beautiful woman in the world even if I just woke up.

Thank you for always prioritizing me above all else.
I really appreciate it.

Thank you for the loyalty that you’ve shown me all these years.
You made me believe that in this messed up world, somehow, there is actually true love.

I am really happy to have found
a best friend
a partner
and a soulmate
in one person.

I am excited for the moment that we will share
our vows together in front of the people we love,

My magical work space

I write in a narrow table that faces the little window in my room. The position is perfect for me to look at the moon as it rises at night. I have a little angel lamp that provides a yellow light, the kind of color that soothes my so-called agitated mood.

The Swing

There is a girl in a lovely pink dress,
Seems too small for her, but she wears it nevertheless.
She sits on the swing and looks at the sky,
A smile on her face as she sings a lullaby.

Home

How nice it is to come home every night, to eat on your own table during dinner or to sleep in your own bed.
It’s hard to find the comfort of home somewhere else.
Home for me is my family.
